Meetings
The Kearney Area Brewers meet at 7:30PM on the second Tuesday of every month except December. Meetings are hosted by club members or held at local brewpubs. Click on the Calendar Tab at the top and mouse over the KAB meetings for the location and time. Check out the other events listed in the Calendar as well.

Club Events
Each year the Kearney Area Brewers hosts the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) Big Brew Day held on the first Saturday in May. AHA provides two or three recipes and Brewers & Brew Clubs across the world brew one, two or all three of the recipes.

On the first Saturday of November we host the AHA Teach a Friend to Homebrew Day. Many brewers in the club will brew and provide free instruction on extract & all-grain brewing techniques.

Food & Beverage is always abundant at our club events!

Contests
The Kearney Area Brewers hosts the Buffalo County Fair Beer/Mead/Wine Competition every year. The competition is held at a local brewery in the latter part of July.

We also participate in the Nebraska Shootout. The Nebraska Shootout is an All Nebraska Brew Club competition originally started by the Lincoln Lagers & Oha-Hops brew clubs and is now open to all brew clubs in Nebraska. Bragging rights and a traveling trophy are at stake.
