hop rhyzomes

Postby DRFIC2009 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 7:54 pm

Hello:
I brought some rhyzomes from Massachusetts when I moved last fall, but most if not all of those failed to establish themselves. If anyone has some rhyzomes to spare, I'd be much obliged. I'd offer some beer, but most of you have quite a stockpile already.

Thanks,
Robert Ficociello

Hey Robert, Wish I could help. I don't grow my own hops yet. Probably should but just haven't take the time. I know a lot of the club members do so maybe one of them will take you up on the offer. If you make it to the Big Brew on May 1 you might mention it there too.

My Cascades have already climbed chest high. Sorry, mine haven't split enough yet to give any away.

I have some that are well established, 4 varieties, but they have grown together a bit, so they will be hard to separate. Cascade, Fuggles, Goldings, and Hallertau. I'm not sure how well they will transfer right now, it might be to far into the season. If you still want some they are available.
